Creative Economy and Smart Development
Adriapol Institute in cooperation with University Marin Barleti, under the patronage of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, have organized on 9-10 of May, the first Albanian International Forum, to discuss and elaborate new and innovative concepts of the economy .
The Creative Economy and Smart Development Forum was attended by Minister of Culture, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Minister of Urban Development and tourisms, Minister of Public Administration and Innovation. The Forum aimed the establishment of the foundation of future initiatives and collaborations between Albania, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Macedonia (FYROM) and Kosovo Focused on these new concepts of the economy.
This main objective of the forum was to develop bridges of cooperation's that will generate valuable conjunctions between Italy (represented by the representative of Puglia, Umbria, Tuscany, Universities, Italian Representative Brussels Projects, Chambers of Commerce, etc.), Marin Barleti University and Adriapol Forum (which will coordinate regional network of private/public Stakeholders and Academic Institutes from countries of the Region; such as Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Greece, etc).
The two-day Forum was attended by important Albanian government representatives such as: deputy prime Ministerof the Republic of Albania, Mr. Niko Peleshi; Minister of Social Affairs and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj; Minister of Tourism Mrs. Englantina Gjermeni; Minister of Innovation, Mrs.Milena Harito; the Executive Director of the Albanian Investment Development Agency, Mrs. Manjola Gjoni,
Adriapol Institute, was initiator of the event and as well the organizer and was represented by Forum Director; Mrs.Esmeralda Hasani; Director of the Institute; Mr.Jorgest Kovaçi. The University Marin Barleti was represented by the Architecture Group headed by prof. Spartak Bagllamaja; the Coordinator of the Architecture Department; Mr. Anjeza Llubani and the architects Mrs. Nevila Malaj and Mr. Oltjon Lugo. Other important participators that attended the Forum were Board Member of Marin Barleti University; Mr. Paolo Rago and the Director of AIPA institute; Mr. Dorjan Jano.
Other important actors who participated from neighbor countries were: the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Albania; Mr. Massimo Gaiani; Senator Piero Liuzzi, President of Consortium Consulting Puglia; Paolo Casalino, Head of Regione Puglia Bruxelles Office; Luigi De Luca, Deputy President of the Apulia Film Commission; Vincenzo Bellini, President of Productive District Creative Puglia; Gianni Schiavone, Director of Consortium Consulting Puglia; Ioannis Ganas, Deputy President of Technological Educational Institute of Epirus; Marco Mancarella, Deputy Director of e- Government Laboratory, Salento University.
In the first day of forum proceedings, the discussion focused on Political Strategies and the in inter-sector cooperation for a sustainable and creative economy as well on a better vertical coordination of governance and policies, the harmonization of all and actors and diverse factors such as economic, social and cultural factors.
Another important topic of the discussion was the revitalization of the economy through creating and promoting of cultural regional brands and industries and tourism related to them, utilization of EU-Programs aim the stimulation of cultural potential, innovation of industries in local, regional and national level, new ideas and proposals for cooperation based on the best practices of other developed countries.
At the conclusion of the first day of the Forum proceedings, University Marin Barleti, represented by Rector of the University, Mr. Mariglen Spiro and Technological Institute of Epirus represented by vice. Rector, Mr. Ioannis Ganas signed a Cooperation Agreement.
